Community Scholars

Community Scholars

Community Scholars do the following:

  • Empower students to make a successful academic and social transition at UC Merced during their first year on campus.
  • Serve as a College Transition Coach for first-year scholars participating in the Fiat Lux Living Learning Community.
  • Through formal and informal experiences, community scholars assist in building an on-campus community that recognizes and embraces the identities, values, and beliefs of all students.
  • Promote resources and opportunities for active participation to enhance student development.
